Congratulations to NIVBs New 2024 Teams!

Tryouts for all of NIVB's 2024 teams wrapped up on Sunday, November 12th with the formation of four teams at the 15s and 16s age level.  Over 144 players tried out this season for ages 12-16!  That is the most we've ever had tryout in a single season and while we were impressed with all the talent that we had in the gym, we were disappointed that we couldn't accommodate more players and teams.

With tryouts completed, we are excited to get these teams into our gyms.  As always, it was a long and difficult day.

We are working on getting more communications out, gym schedules adjusted, adding coaches, and a host of other post-tryout issues.  We will announce a team meeting for each team, likely to occur the first week of practices.  There we will share club policies, expectations, and get to know each other a bit.  We will also distribute fundraising packets and share information about that program.

Apparel and uniform orders will need to go in as soon as possible and our uniform supplier will provide us with access to their online store later this week.  Watch your email for that, and other information throughout the coming days.

This is a busy time for coaches, club directors, uniform suppliers and everyone involved behind the scenes.  Every club is doing this at the same time, asking questions, discovering process issues, etc.  We get through it every year, but there's a lot happening all at once and it's a balancing act between waiting for things to be confirmed and communicating when things become known.  Please be patient and try to work through the order processing and form submissions quickly, so we can move forward.  We will do our best to answer your questions and provide information as soon as we have it.

Northern Impact has some great teams for this club season and some great events planned.  We look forward to kicking this off with the start of practices on November 27th!

What We Do Here

Northern Impact Volleyball Club has changed over the past 12 years.  We have changed names (formerly Mounds View Volleyball Club). Throughout the years we remain committed to instilling in our players a positive work ethic and increasing their volleyball IQ.

We value feedback from both our players and parents . This is how we can continue to provide the best value for our families and players.  If you haven't already done so, please take a look at our Mission and Vision and let us know what you think.

We fully expect all of our club members to making their club season a positive learning experience for all.

We are here to help our players get better - both on and off the court. It's what we do!

Sports Engine App

The Sports Engine mobile app should be downloaded, if it's not already on both parent and player phones. The Getting Started Guide contains very helpful information on the Sports Engine app, including:

  • installing the Sports Engine app
  • Logging into the app
  • Following your team (or teams)
  • Updating notification settings
  • Subscribing to the team calendar (if you use a calendar on your smartphone, the team calendar can be synced to your smartphone calendar)

This app will be very important during the season to keep informed of schedules, games, news, player and coach rosters, and much more!  As the season is just beginning, you may have new faces on the team.  The app contains a roster of both players and coaches, including photos.  As the season progresses, results and stats will be added for matches played.
