Season Information
Overview
The winter/club volleyball season begins with tryouts in late October and mid-November. Unlike our Summer and Fall programming, the winter season is intended to be a competitive program. Northern Impact will begin team practices in late November with competition starting in either late December or early January and running through the month of April and possibly into May. Detailed schedule information will be posted when it becomes available.
13U-18U TEAMS (Regional)
- Tryout required
- Teams are fielded based on skill-level and positional needs
- Some travel is required, but nothing beyond border states and most teams will travel overnight less than three times per season. Rochester, St. Cloud, Mankato or Duluth are common destinations.
- Season starts in November, ends late April or early May
12U TEAMS
- Tryouts for team placement (cuts may be necessary in 2023)
- Lower cost team experience with travel to Rochester once per season.
- Beginner to experienced players welcome
- Teams formed based on age, experience and positional needs
- Ideal for multi-sport athletes
- Season starts in November, ends in April.
AGE CLASSIFICATION
PRACTICE DAYS
- 2 Practices/week for 2 hours each
- Some 12U teams may only practice 90 minutes.
- Practices will start the week of Nov 27th
APPAREL PACKAGE
- Two jerseys
- Spandex
- Volleyball Sleeves
- Knee pads
- Warmup jacket or hitting shirt
- Two practice t-shirts
- Backpacks will be optional this year at a steeply discounted cost to the player.
FUNDRAISING
Northern Impact is again working with Dynamic Fundraising to provide the opportunity to fundraise a significant amount of money that can be used for club fees and travel. There is no additional cost to participants and all funds raised through the sale of our promotional cards is kept by the seller. Participation in this fundraiser may yield in excess of $500 per player.
TOURNAMENTS
Our teams will play a variety of competitive events involving single day play dates, single day tournaments and multi-day tournaments. The number varies by team and will typically involve 9-12 days of competition over the course of the season.
TEAM FEES
- 12 and under teams will pay $1600 in installments, or $1500 for one-time payment at time of commitment.
- 13U and older will pay $2400 in installments, or $2300 for one-time payment at time of commitment.
- Fees above include a fundraising package allowing families to reduce their costs by up to $500.
