2022 Fall League is Underway!

Registration for Fall League is closed, so Winter season is just around the corner.  We just wrapped up our first week of Fall League matches, and we have a great combination of new faces and old friends on the courts.

Fall League is all about development.  Matches are designed to provide fair competition and allow time for coaches to instruct during play and players get extra time and accommodations that don't happen during the high-intensity competition they will see in the club season and high school.  Our first week was a success from the standpoint that everyone learned a lot and the matches provided comparable competition that allowed us stretch and grow without too much focus on the rules and etiquette that get so much attention during a typical competitive season.

We have five more weeks of competition, then it'll be tryout season!  We look forward to a very productive week now that everyone has a better idea of where we are, and where we're going.  Thanks for coming along for the ride!

What We Do Here

Northern Impact Volleyball Club has changed over the past 10 years.  We have changed names (formerly Moundsview Volleyball Club,) we have changed directors, we have changed our value and mission, and we have grown - A LOT!

There's a reason we have more teams, have expanded our age reach and geographic boundaries, and win more.  It's because we have worked hard and listened to feedback.  We went all in on getting better, took risks and accepted that it wouldn't always be pretty. Just like our players learn through our Train Ugly lessons on growth mindset.

That's how you get better at volleyball, better at running a volleyball club, or learn to do anything.  If you haven't already done so, please take a look at our Mission and Vision and let us know what you think.  It's written in HTML, not stone, so we can make it better, if we want.

We want all of our players and families to commit to making this club the best it can be.  We won't accept mediocrity or lack of effort and that's the commitment we are going to demand from each of you.  We also know that we can't make everyone happy all the time, so we are going to shoot for doing the best we can.  It's what we expect of our players, so it's what we can aim for too.

We are here to help our players get better - both on and off the court. It's what we do!

Sports Engine App

The Sports Engine mobile app should be downloaded, if it's not already on both parent and player phones. The Getting Started Guide contains very helpful information on the Sports Engine app, including:

  • installing the Sports Engine app
  • Logging into the app
  • Following your team (or teams)
  • Updating notification settings
  • Subscribing to the team calendar (if you use a calendar on your smartphone, the team calendar can be synced to your smartphone calendar)

This app will be very important during the season to keep informed of schedules, games, news, player and coach rosters, and much more!  As the season is just beginning, you may have new faces on the team.  The app contains a roster of both players and coaches, including photos.  As the season progresses, results and stats will be added for matches played.

NIVB Spirit Wear Store

Calling all Northern Impact Superfans! Gear up for the season with your own spirit wear from our Spirit Wear store.  There are lots of options to choose from. The fan store is for parents and other supporters to wear and show your team spirit.  The items will be shipped in time for Christmas and directly to your home.

The store closes Nov 15.
